A total of 13 residents and staff from 11 residential homes were reported to have tested positive, involving 7 residential care homes for the elderly and 4 residential homes for the disabled. A total of 52 residents were listed as close contacts.
According to the Department of Health, about 94% of the local case verification test samples received from the 2nd to the 8th of this month, the Omicron variant virus strain BA.4 or BA.5.
